Easter Fun in Stage 1
Year 1 'The Great Chicken Escape'
Earlier this week the Year One students were each given a egg to look after. Each student was asked during writing time to predict what was in the egg. There were a variety of predictions including: a baby snake, a bird, a chocolate bunny and even a prediction of a baby crocodile. On Tuesday, the eggs had hatched and each child had a little chicken to name and adopt. The Year One students did this with joy and all made a special basket for their adopted chick. The next day there was a big shock... Olive and Otto's chicken went missing!! There was a big panic, so Year One decided to make missing chicken posters to try and locate Olive and Otto's chicken. Thankfully Mr Doyle saw one of the missing chicken posters which jogged his memory that he had seen 2 chickens out in the community and had put them safely in his office. Mr Doyle was so happy to return the chickens to Olive and Otto! Those chickens had quite the adventure during their escape.. check out these photos of the 'The Great Chicken Escape' fun!
This week, Year 2 students put their engineering hats on for a fun and festive STEM challenge! Using only carrots and toothpicks, students were tasked with designing and building a transportation vehicle fit for their little chicken to journey back to the Land of the Easter Bunny.

Have a happy and holy Easter with your loved ones.
